Welcome to our Term 3, 2010 Exhibition. There has been some fabulous work completed by our students this term - in fact every term, I am continually amazed at what children can achieve when they are taught the right processes and techniques. So congratulations to all the children who are exhibiting. Also a huge thanks to my talented team of tutors at Fine Young Artists. They do a great job teaching and inspiring your children.
As you look at the artworks remember that many of our artists are very young children - some are only in their first year of school and are still coming to grips with holding a pencil correctly, let-alone a paint brush!
As a viewer, you can vote for your favourite piece of artwork by simply clicking on the vote button underneath it. Every class will have a prize winner and your vote, 'the peoples vote' will determine this winner.
Each term and from each class, tutors nominate a piece of work that best represents the learnings of the programme being taught. From these nominations, we select and award a Fine Young Artists Scholarship - last term this prize was won by Sanura Wheatley-Stewart from Taupaki School. The recipient of the Scholarship attends the following term free of charge, receives an art pack prize and also wins $200 worth of art supplies for their school, courtesy of National Art Supplies - huge thanks has to go to Ross, Bridget and the team at NAS.
Happy viewing!
