  • An introduction to the history and artwork of our selected role model artists and an understanding of their influences
  • Learning the techniques, skills and style used by our role model artists
  • Learning additional and alternative fine art techniques and styles but also learning the basics around drawing and painting
  • High quality artwork to exhibit and take home to be proud of forever!

Cover Stories - Mixed Media on MDF Spines

Our artwork is like a stack of books, all written about us, a pile of story books about special moments in our lives, things we have done, places we have been.
We get to design lettering, illustrate, paint and put our own special signature logo onto each book, creating a quirky visual library about ourselves.

Mystery Garden - drawing, printmaking and design

We start with a plywood canvas and experiment with fabric and paint to create a mystical garden backdrop in lush, earthy colours. We then apply printmaking techniques to give texture and to create layers and later, using pencils and oil pastels we enhance our foliage and hide within it critters and creepy crawlies of our own design.

Beachcombing NZ Painting & Drawing on 9 canvas boards.

What do we find when we beach-comb the tide line? A mixture of man-made and natural objects randomly placed by the tide. Textures borrowed from the patterns of nature underlie our artwork. Natural beach objects form the second layer and these in turn are overlaid by found man-made objects to form our third layer. This work is completed on 9 separate canvases that come together to form one masterpiece in the gridded style of John Reynolds.
